Bus from Jibhi to Kasol
No direct HRTC bus, but the transfer sequence is straightforward. Jibhi → Aut (local bus, ₹80, 1 hr), Aut → Bhuntar (any Kullu-bound bus, ₹40, 30 min), Bhuntar → Kasol (Parvati Valley bus, ₹80, 1 hr). Total: ~3.5 hours, ₹200 per person. Buses from Bhuntar to Kasol run every 30 minutes between 7am and 7pm.
Taxi from Jibhi to Kasol
Private taxi costs ₹3,000–4,000 one-way. Ask your Jibhi stay (Emberwood, etc.) to arrange a day in advance. Return-day taxis back to Jibhi from Kasol are harder to find; book both legs up front.
Jibhi vs Kasol — Which One First?
If you're doing both in one trip, most travellers start with Jibhi for calm and silence (2–3 nights), then move to Kasol for cafés and social energy (1–2 nights). The transition is gentle — Jibhi's quiet won't feel wasted because Kasol's Parvati Valley is still significantly more peaceful than Manali.
Driving Tips
Fuel: Top up at Bhuntar — the Parvati Valley has only one petrol station (at Jari, 10 km before Kasol). Parking in Kasol: Pay parking near the bridge; the main market is pedestrian-heavy and narrow. Monsoon warning: The Parvati Valley road is landslide-prone in July–August. Check status before driving.
